WOW...What more can be said about the reunion and the Awesome commttee. and also the great work by our cousin Linette in formatting our family book. What a great blessing to have been their and too share this great experience with my two childran Jamie and Ashley. Not only did the reunion give us an opportuniy to meet other family members. But it also allowed me time to spend with my Mother (Paolo) my brothers, Sisters and all of their families. It was like a reunion within a reunion, and I'm sure many of you felt the same way. To all of you, my family who took part in our reunion.....YOU ROCK. With lots of Alofa Sandy Tuipelehake Suapaia

Malo e lelei & Talofa: I was born in Auto, Am. Samoa, raised in Laie,HI. My father was Puipuifatu Fiso and my mom was Aliitasi Malepeai Puepuemai Fagueli. I am the 2nd oldest of 7 children: Tolo(deceased), me, Dofi, Fatu Jr., Tigi, Ololua, & Tony(deceased). Our line begins from Alipate/Taiana>Kiata>Losa>Sefelina> Puipuifatu>me. Our last reunion in 1986 in Hawaii was so memorable that I cannot forget our talent show where Am. Samoa brought down the house with the Korean Love Song. I used to live in Mesepa, Am. Samoa for a time and moved up to Utah. I hope we can fill more pages of our genealogy with new additions to our lineage and take more photos with family members. Thank U to the Cali committee members and the website hostess in keeping us connected and excited for our reunion. Shout out to all our Samoa, Laie, Carson, and Utah cousins....don't miss this reunion, plz! I expect our own Suapa'ia Family Idol show to rock! Alofa tele mo le tatou aiga pele, Cuzin Oli
I wanted to thank the reunion committee for all of their hard work. We had so much fun reminiscing with those we hadn't seen in quite some time and meeting those we had not met before. The reunion has re-ignited my interest in the family geneology. I find myself searching on a daily basis! Eventually I hope to be able to share all of my information with everyone. To be sure that I have everyone's accurate information, I'd appreciate any information and pictures be sent to my email address for inclusion. A special thanks to Cousin Nettie for all of her hard work on putting the geneology book together. As soon as I can get a copy, I'm sure that will be very helpful! Let's stay in touch and not wait until the next reunion to talk to one another!

Sifou < Mulu < Tavita < Sisi\'imoana Lupi < GwenHello, I\'m from American Samoa and was wondering how the reunion went. Most of the su\'apa\'ia family that was descendent from Sifou are all in New Zealand and Australia, thats why most of us did not make it to the reunion, but we do hope to be at the next reunion. Back in the days, Sifou, the youngest child (male) stayed behind in Savaii and the rest was sent to the mainland to get a better future. I do hope that one day the reunion will be held in Savaii.
Love seeing the famz sticking together. Alohaz from your aiga on Maui!!

Hi Family, Thankfully we have finally connected as we have been looking for the updated page for a while. Gutted that we will not make reunion as we just found out about it LOL and also my father turns 70 this year. We are from the Alapate Tuipelehake - Kipeni bloodline and my grandfather was Siaifa Uipa Su\'a. I married a Tongan and visited Tonga for the first time and was able to see the Tuipelehake home but sadly apparently very hard to get into the royal palace to do some genealogy work. I hope to stay connected on here for the next reunion as we would really love to attend. Love you all

I'm especially excited to immerse my children in it and teach them how they're related to all of you. Thank you for this wonderful website! I'll see you at the reunionz. Ia manuia lava le aso! E.
A loving hello to my father, Kipeni Simaile Lutu, family. I am the oldest and only sister to Leroy, Eric & Frank Lutu of Washington State. I have been searching for a connection to my Lutu heritage for quite sometime. With the divorce of my parents, I followed the path with my mother, Mary Lutu Dubois to the southern part of the USA. I now reside in Hemphill, Texas with my husband and 2 remaining daughters at home (Christina 17 & Brandy 11). My oldest daughter, Malia, 27, is married to a wonderful man and has blessed me with 3 grandsons. It was exciting to see the many photos of my family, brother Leroy, and nephew Leroy Jr. I will bookmark this site and continue to keep a hold of my longing desire for my Polynesian roots and family. I would enjoy hearing from my auntie's and uncles if this site can provide that for me and my family here in the states. Love & God Bless, Starr Lutu Gentry

How sweet Cuz!!! What a nice story to share with family. Glad you knew enough to guess at what she was asking...I\'m going to post this story on the family site!! loves, nettie----- Original Message -----From: Teri KnippleTo: alapa58@msn.comSent: Wednesday, May 04, 2011 9:13 AMSubject: Re: Your Students I have to share a cute story with you - Mike and I attended a Hoolaule\'a this past weekend at the Calif. Hotel and were at a Samoan booth. I was listening to the two Chinese looking vendors just chatting away with some customers in Samoan and whispered to Mike to look at the Chinese ladies speaking Samoan. He was very impressed. After buying a comb from them, as we started to walk away, I thought I\'d surprise them, because I knew they didn\'t know I was Samoan, by saying, "Faafetai!" Most of the time people think I\'m either a portugee or italian, sometimes part Haw\'n but never has anyone every guessed Samoan. There\'s just too few of us.Anyway, their reaction was "surprise" and then they asked me, in Samoan, if I was Samoan, so (at least I understood that much) so I said, "Afa" and smiled and started to walk away, and one of them followed me and was still asking me a question. At this point, I wasn\'t sure what she was asking, but I figured she was probably asking who my family was......this is the good part......after I said, "Suapaia," she said, "Oh, you are from the SINGING family!".Linette, I have never heard that description of our family before, and as I walked away, I said to Mike, "did you hear that? She said I was from the singing family!" And then I started to bawl. I thought it was such a beautiful description of us. Growing up, I used to think we were the "fighting" family.Anyway, from now on I am going to say I come from the "singing" family. And smile.Yipee kai yeaaaa! Oh, I mean, oka oka fefe! :)NEWS FROM TERI KNIPPLE (TINEI)Teri Knipple

Hi everyone, I just wanna say I had so much fun at the Su'apa'ia family reunion. Learned a whole bunch about this big family I hadn't known before and I see that as very important because before you can go somewhere in life you have to know where you came from. There were many faces I have never seen before this weekend at the reunion and I loved it. Hopefully we can stay in contanct. I love everyone www.myspace.com/peace_love_britt or find me on face book. Search "Britt Sua" with love, Brittani Salamasina Suapaia
I haven't been on this website in a while but WOW what a transformation... I absolutely love it.. I love the geneology charts as it was so correct and I can not wait to show my dad who currently holds the Su'a Matai title from Salelavalu. I am going to plan to have our family come to next year's reunion... Alipate/Taiana>Saimasina>Kipeni> Alexander Sane>Siaifa Uipa>Su'a Afereti>Me.. :)
Hello Everyone! I just wanted to thank you for putting this website together, it was very helpful. I am the daughter of Diana (Sae) Broederlow who is the daughter of Fiu Sae who is the son of Tiana... Samila's daughter. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ and I am so very grateful that Saimasina first accepted the Gospel then because it just strengthens my testimony. I love it, I love you all and thank you once again! (:
The internet is so amazing. I may have found my Samoan heritage and possibility to learn more about my roots.
